Our team includes experienced funeral directors, arrangers and support staff who are committed to providing calm, respectful care. We take time to listen, explain things clearly and support families in a way that feels personal and unhurried.
Many of our team have supported local families for years and understand the importance of trust, familiarity and local knowledge.
Wherever you are in Perthshire, our approach remains the same — professional, thoughtful and compassionate.
Funeral Director
Derek is at the heart of Derek Wittmann Family Funeral Directors, leading a local, family-run service built on understanding, compassion, and genuine care. Supporting families across Aberfeldy and the surrounding areas, he takes great pride in offering personal guidance, honest advice, and reassurance when it is needed most.
Derek has dedicated his life to serving his community. Alongside 16 years as an on-call Firefighter, supporting people in times of emergency, he has spent the past 16 years working within the funeral profession. This experience has shaped his calm, steady approach and his deep commitment to caring for others during life’s most difficult moments.
Family is at the centre of everything Derek does. Having recently celebrated 30 years of marriage with his wife Yvonne, he understands the importance of connection, support, and compassion — values that naturally extend into the way he cares for every family he works with.
Derek believes in being approachable and accessible to everyone. If you would like to know more or simply feel reassured about who you would be dealing with, you are always welcome to call into the office and meet the team. There is no pressure and no obligation — just a warm welcome and a friendly face.
Here for local families, whenever you need us.
Local family, local knowledge.

Yvonne recently joined her husband Derek and the wider team, bringing with her a warm and caring nature.

As Funeral Administrator, Yvonne offers a welcoming presence to all who visit. She is always happy to make time for a cup of tea and a friendly conversation, and to help with any questions or guidance you may need.

As a Funeral Operative, Gary plays an important role behind the scenes and out in the community. If you see him while he’s out and about or preparing the vehicles, he will always offer a friendly hello.
